Social Policy
The Stakeholder Engagement Plan, which we have put into action in the light of our social policies, is a key element in establishing strong, constructive and responsive relationships necessary for the successful management of the environmental and social risks and impacts of our project. While it is aimed to inform our stakeholders about the potential environmental and social impacts of our project through proper information transfer, it is also aimed to ensure that their perceptions of the proposed development are as accurate as possible and to provide a mechanism to consult with them for their feedback. It is also aimed to resolve any concerns and/or complaints that may arise. The Stakeholder Engagement Plan is a guiding document that maps out the main categories of the stakeholders that will significantly contribute to the development and implementation of the Sakarya Gas Field Project. This Plan highlights how the company intends to communicate with the relevant stakeholder groups that may be impressed by or interested in the activities of our Project.
Stakeholder engagement process:
- It helps to determine and include all the stakeholders that are potentially impressed,
- To ensure that the project is well understood by the stakeholders who are likely to be impressed;
- To determine problems that may pose a risk for the project or its stakeholders early in the project cycle,
- To ensure that measures to reduce impact are proper (applicable, efficient and productive); and
- To establish the necessary system for long-term and mutual communication between the project and the stakeholders for the benefit of all parties.
