As part of a major refurbishment program, the Osman Gazi platform was dry-docked at a shipyard in Çanakkale on 26 September 2024. Upon completion of the shipyard works on 27 May 2025, it was floated out of dry dock.

On 29 May, the platform was dispatched from the Presidential Dolmabahçe Working Office during a ceremony attended by His Excellency President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar. Following its voyage, Osman Gazi reached Filyos Port.

To welcome Türkiye’s first floating natural gas production platform, Osman Gazi, Zonguldak Governor Osman Hacıbektaşoğlu, Members of Parliament Ahmet Çolakoğlu and Muammer Avcı, our esteemed Board Member and General Manager Cem Erdem, and other distinguished guests were present at the port.

Measuring 56 meters in width, 298.5 meters in length and 29.5 meters in depth, Osman Gazi is scheduled to begin operations in mid-2026. Equipped with a maximum daily processing capacity of 10.5 million cubic meters of natural gas and a transfer capacity of 10 million cubic meters, the platform will double the current natural gas production from the Black Sea, raising daily output to 20 million cubic meters.
