What Is the TP-OTC Undergraduate Scholarship Programme?
The TP-OTC Undergraduate Scholarship Programme is a scholarship scheme through which we support our prospective engineers, who have successfully been placed into the relevant engineering departments by achieving high scores in the university entrance examination administered by ÖSYM, throughout the duration of their undergraduate studies. Students whom we support during their studies have the opportunity to start their professional careers at TP-OTC after graduation.

Pre-Assessment
An interview shortlist is drawn up from among the applicants, starting with those who have the highest success rankings.
Online Interview Process
Online interviews are conducted with the shortlisted candidates.
Announcement of Results
Following the interviews, primary and reserve lists are created based on the available quota and candidates’ success rankings. Results are shared with candidates before the start of the academic year.
Commencement of Scholarship
Required documents are requested from candidates who meet the scholarship's qualifications. Once the documents are submitted, the scholarship period begins.

What are the application criteria for the TP-OTC Undergraduate Scholarship Programme?
Candidates applying for our Undergraduate Scholarship Programme must satisfy the following conditions:
be a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye,
rank within the success ranking determined for the undergraduate programmes specified by us, based on the results of the university entrance examination administered by ÖSYM,
not be enrolled simultaneously in another undergraduate or associate degree programme, except for a double major programme,
not previously hold any undergraduate or associate degree, whether obtained in Türkiye or abroad.

Where and when can I apply to the Programme?
The application period begins upon the announcement by ÖSYM of the placement results for higher education institutions. Candidates may submit their applications by completing our online application form available at www.tp-otc.com

The TP-OTC Scholarship Process is conducted under the relevant provisions of Law No. 5102 on the Provision of Scholarships and Loans to Higher Education Students.

How does our application evaluation process proceed?
Among the candidates applying to our Undergraduate Scholarship Programme, interviews are conducted starting with those who have the highest university placement success rankings. Principal and reserve lists are prepared based on the quota and the success ranking.
At the end of the evaluation process, the results are communicated to the candidates, and the scholarship process is initiated.

What documents must be completed after being admitted to the Programme?
A notarised letter of undertaking stating that the scholarship student accepts that they will work at TP-OTC after graduating from the relevant undergraduate department,
A notarised deed of surety stating that, in the event of the scholarship being canceled or the work commitment not being fulfilled, the amount of scholarship paid to the scholarship student will be reimbursed,
Personal documents accessible via the e-Devlet application and to be requested from you as part of the legal procedures.

How is the scholarship payment made?
As TP-OTC, we make the scholarship payments regularly each month to the General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories. Our scholarship students receive their payments uninterrupted for 12 months through bank accounts to be opened in their names by the General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories.

Can I receive another scholarship at the same time as the TP-OTC Undergraduate Scholarship?
You may apply for other scholarships that are not paid by the General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories and that do not impose a compulsory service obligation after graduation.
Pursuant to the applicable legislation, the General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories cannot make more than one scholarship payment at the same time. Therefore, it is not possible to receive another scholarship through the General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories while receiving the TP-OTC Undergraduate Scholarship.

For how long is the scholarship paid?
We provide uninterrupted support for the normal duration of study of the department for which you are entitled to receive the scholarship.
For students whose education begins with a preparatory class, scholarship payments are commenced as of the preparatory class year.

Is the TP-OTC Undergraduate Scholarship a reciprocal scholarship?
Yes. Our Undergraduate Scholarship Programme is a reciprocal merit-based scholarship programme under which students undertake to work at TP-OTC for a period equal to the duration for which they receive the scholarship.

What are the circumstances that lead to the suspension of the TP-OTC Undergraduate Scholarship?
Failure to complete the relevant undergraduate programme within its normal period of study.
Failing any course due to non-attendance.
Falling below a cumulative grade point average of 2.80/4.00 or 70/100. (If, within one year, a student raises their cumulative grade point average above the prescribed threshold and wishes to receive the scholarship again, they must apply to TP-OTC by submitting a petition and transcript. Their case is evaluated in accordance with both TP-OTC regulations and the legislation of the General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories.)

What are the circumstances that require repayment of the TP-OTC Undergraduate Scholarship?
Making a false statement or submitting false documents during the scholarship application or scholarship period.
Having been convicted of a criminal offense, except for offenses committed by negligence.
Receiving a penalty resulting in disqualification from public service.
Transferring to a department other than the undergraduate departments designated by TP-OTC.
Receiving a disciplinary sanction from a university disciplinary board.
Receiving a scholarship or loan that gives rise to an obligation to work for another institution, organisation or company other than TP-OTC after graduation.
Refusing to accept TP-OTC’s job offer after graduation.
Resigning before completing the period of service undertaken. (In this case, the scholarship amount paid corresponding to the unfulfilled service period shall be recovered together with statutory interest.)

Is the scholarship discontinued in the event of a change of country or university for educational purposes under academic exchange programmes (Mevlana, Farabi, Erasmus)?
Our students may participate in an academic exchange programme provided that they do not change their department. The scholarship of a student participating in an exchange programme continues as long as the relevant academic achievement criteria are met.
Regardless of whether the exchange programme is counted by university administrations as part of the period of study, the duration of the scholarship to be paid to the student is limited to the normal period of study of the relevant undergraduate programme.

In which fields can I work after graduation?
Within the scope of oil and natural gas exploration, drilling and production activities, you may work in all technical and administrative operations that support these organisations onshore and offshore, particularly drilling and production platforms.
