What Is the TP-OTC Undergraduate Scholarship Programme?
The TP-OTC Undergraduate Scholarship Programme is a scholarship scheme through which we support our prospective engineers, who have successfully been placed into the relevant engineering departments by achieving high scores in the university entrance examination administered by ÖSYM, throughout the duration of their undergraduate studies. Students whom we support during their studies have the opportunity to start their professional careers at TP-OTC after graduation.

Pre-Assessment
An interview shortlist is drawn up from among the applicants, starting with those who have the highest success rankings.
Online Interview Process
Online interviews are conducted with the shortlisted candidates.
Announcement of Results
Following the interviews, primary and reserve lists are created based on the available quota and candidates’ success rankings. Results are shared with candidates before the start of the academic year.
Commencement of Scholarship
Required documents are requested from candidates who meet the scholarship's qualifications. Once the documents are submitted, the scholarship period begins.

What are the application criteria for the TP-OTC Undergraduate Scholarship Programme?
Undergraduate Scholarship Programme Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who wish to apply must meet the following conditions:
Being a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye,
Being ranked within the placement range determined by us for the relevant undergraduate programmes based on the results of the university entrance examination administered by ÖSYM,
Not having been previously enrolled in or awarded any undergraduate or associate degree, either in Türkiye or abroad,
Except for double major programmes, not being simultaneously enrolled in any other undergraduate or associate degree programme.

Where and when can I apply to the programme?
All students who gain admission and complete their final registration to the specified programmes in the 2025–2026 academic year will be entitled to receive a TP-OTC scholarship.

What documents must be completed after being admitted to the programme?
The scholarship holder accepts, by way of a notarized undertaking, that at the end of the scholarship period, they will work at TP-OTC for a period, to be determined by TP-OTC Senior Management, of up to a maximum of 4 years. If the scholarship holder requests cancellation of the scholarship or fails to fulfil their employment commitment, they shall submit a notarised surety bond declaring that they will repay to TP-OTC the total scholarship amount paid to them, together with legal interest. TP-OTC reserves the right to set conditions regarding the guarantor requirement.

How is the scholarship paid?
As TP-OTC, we transfer the scholarship amounts regularly each month to the Credit and Dormitories Institution (Kredi ve Yurtlar Kurumu – KYK). Our students receive their payments uninterruptedly for 12 months via the bank accounts that KYK will open in their name.

Can I receive another scholarship while receiving the TP-OTC Undergraduate Scholarship?
You may apply for other scholarships that are not paid by KYK and that do not impose a compulsory service obligation after graduation.
Pursuant to applicable legislation, KYK cannot make more than one scholarship payment at the same time. While receiving the TP-OTC Undergraduate Scholarship via KYK, it is not possible to receive another scholarship through KYK.

For how long is the scholarship paid?
We support you uninterruptedly for 12 months each year throughout your undergraduate studies.
For students who start their education with a preparatory class, scholarship payments commence as of the preparatory year.

Is the TP-OTC Undergraduate Scholarship bonded?
Our Undergraduate Scholarship Programme is a bonded scholarship under which students undertake to work at TP-OTC for a period equal to the length of time during which they receive the scholarship.

In which circumstances must the TP-OTC Undergraduate Scholarship be repaid?
If a student receiving the TP-OTC Undergraduate Scholarship makes any false statement or submits false information or documents during the application or scholarship period, the scholarship is terminated. The total amount paid is recovered from the scholarship holder in accordance with the provisions of the Directive.
If circumstances such as being convicted of an offence (other than negligent offences) or receiving a penalty resulting in disqualification from public service arise, payments are stopped as from the following month.
If a student who has received a scholarship throughout their undergraduate education declines TP-OTC’s job offer after graduation, the scholarship is terminated. The total amount paid is recovered from the scholarship holder in accordance with the provisions of the Directive.
If the scholarship holder leaves employment during the period they have undertaken to work, the portion of the scholarship corresponding to the remaining period of commitment is recovered from the scholarship holder in accordance with the provisions of the Directive.
Scholarship holders who declare that they wish to withdraw from the scholarship are required to repay the total amount they have received, together with legal interest.

What are the conditions for the TP-OTC Undergraduate Scholarship to continue?
Our students must:
Maintain a cumulative grade point average above 2.80/4 or 70/100,
Not receive any disciplinary sanction,
Continue their studies in one of the departments included in the TP-OTC scholarship list.

Will my scholarship funding be revoked if I transfer to a different country or university during my academic exchange program (Mevlana, Farabi, Erasmus)?
Students are eligible to participate in the academic exchange program provided they maintain their current department of study.
Should the student successfully complete the exchange term/year but require an extension to the overall study period, scholarship payments will continue for one additional year beyond the standard duration of study.

Where Can I Work After Graduation?
Graduates are qualified to work in various fields, including petroleum and natural gas exploration activities, on drilling vessels, in onshore and offshore drilling and production operations, in natural gas production facilities, and in all technical and administrative support operations for these organizations.
