What is the TP-OTC Associate Degree Scholarship Programme?
The Offshore Drilling Technology Associate Degree Programme and the Offshore Seabed Applications Technology Associate Degree Programme form a scholarship scheme we have launched in cooperation with Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, within the scope of our university–industry collaboration, in order to train a qualified, local and national workforce.

What are the application criteria for the TP-OTC Associate Degree Scholarship Programme?
be a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye,
have completed final enrolment, in the year in which the examination is held, in one of the associate degree programmes designated by TP-OTC,
not previously hold any undergraduate or associate degree, whether obtained in Türkiye or abroad,
not be enrolled simultaneously in another undergraduate or associate degree programme, except for a double major programme.

Where and when can I apply to the Programme?
Among the students who are placed in the specified programmes and complete their final enrolment in the 2025-2026 academic year, all those who meet the above conditions shall be entitled to receive the TP-OTC scholarship.

How is the scholarship payment made?
As TP-OTC, we make the scholarship payments regularly each month to the General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories. Our students receive their payments uninterrupted for 12 months through bank accounts to be opened in their names by the General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories.

Can I receive another scholarship at the same time as the TP-OTC Associate Degree Scholarship?
You may apply for other scholarships that are not paid by the General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories and that do not impose a compulsory service obligation after graduation.
Pursuant to the applicable legislation, the General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories cannot make more than one scholarship payment at the same time. Therefore, it is not possible to receive another scholarship through the General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories while receiving the TP-OTC Associate Degree Scholarship.

For how long is the scholarship paid?
Support is provided uninterrupted for 12 months throughout the normal period of study of the associate degree programme.
For students whose education begins with a preparatory class, scholarship payments are commenced as of the preparatory class year.

What are the circumstances that lead to the suspension of the TP-OTC Scholarship?
Failure to complete the relevant associate degree programme within its normal period of study.
Failing any course due to non-attendance.
Falling below a cumulative grade point average of 2.40/4.00 or 60/100. (If, within one year, a student raises their cumulative grade point average above the prescribed threshold and wishes to have the scholarship reinstated, they must apply to TP-OTC by submitting a petition and transcript. Their application is evaluated in accordance with both TP-OTC regulations and the legislation of the General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories.)
Having been convicted of a criminal offence, except for offences committed by negligence.
Receiving a penalty resulting in disqualification from public service.
Transferring to a department other than the associate degree departments designated by TP-OTC.
Receiving a disciplinary sanction from a university disciplinary board.
Receiving a scholarship or loan that gives rise to an obligation to work for another institution, organisation or company other than TP-OTC after graduation.

What are the circumstances that require repayment of the TP-OTC Associate Degree Scholarship?
Making a false statement or submitting false documents during the scholarship application or scholarship period.

Will my scholarship be discontinued if I change my country or university for educational purposes under academic exchange programmes (Mevlana, Farabi, Erasmus)?
Our students may participate in an academic exchange programme provided that they do not change their department. The scholarship of a student participating in an exchange programme continues as long as the relevant academic achievement criteria are met.
Regardless of whether the exchange programme is counted by university administrations as part of the period of study, the duration of the scholarship to be paid to the student is limited to the normal period of study of the relevant associate degree programme.
Our students may participate in an academic exchange programme provided that they do not change their department. If the period of study is extended even though the student participating in the exchange programme successfully completes the relevant academic term or year, scholarship payments continue for an additional 1 year beyond the normal period of study.
